2. Rashaan Evans

Rashaan Evans makes this list despite setting career highs in tackles and playing at a consistent level. Atlanta needs to continue to get younger and more athletic on defense. This team obviously missed Foye this past season and needs to find a way to replace his playmaking ability.

Evans was a great substitute for a season with Atlanta without a proven option or a draft pick they could count on developing.  Mykal Walker was solid this season but made consistent mistakes that will leave Atlanta looking for depth at the position. Walker deserves another season in an improved defense and with a new running mate.

Evans’ time in Atlanta was solid but it makes sense for both sides to part ways with Evans finishing up a career year and the Falcons looking to get young and faster defensively. The team has the ability to make splashy moves and focus on a playoff push this off-season. It is hard to see Evans playing into this next step considering both the cost of a new contract and where he is at this point in his career.  Rashaan had a solid season for the Falcons but it is obvious the team needs to either upgrade or bring in an option through the draft.
