One of the great things about being on the FanSided network is the opportunity to speak with experts about the Atlanta Falcons’ opponents each week. This week, I spoke with Randy Gurzi, editor of Toro Times. It’s great to get his take on the Falcons-Texans game; here’s the five questions I asked him.

J.J. Watt hasn’t posted the mind-blowing numbers he did last season yet, which can be expected. How has he looked and what can we expect from him Sunday?

RG: Watt does have three sacks on the year, so he is on pace for 16 sacks, which is a great season in the NFL.

Unfortunately for him, he is a victim of his own success. He has been so dominate at times that being a great pass rusher doesn’t seem to be enough. I said in the preseason he could put up 15 sacks and have a monster year, and people will wonder what’s wrong and why he didn’t get 20 sacks.

As for this game I expect more of the same from J.J. He will be the single most important player on the field and if Matt Ryan doesn’t get passes out quickly, he will take a shot or two during the game.

What do you consider to be Houston’s biggest strength and why?

RG: The defensive line because of Watt for sure, but also Jared Crick is highly under appreciated. He had seven tackles in the Carolina game, which is a lot for a 3-4 end. He always does his job and does it under the radar. The fact that Vince Wilfork has been the least productive lineman is telling for this unit.
