Falcons lose to Bucs

OK, I put myself out there. I said the birds were going to win. I said they would be well prepared and that Griese was going to blow goats better than he would play against the Falcons. Well, I was wrong on both counts Griese beat my boys and as far as I can see he never fellated a goat….. that I can prove.

So here is the thing. I don’t think the Falcons played poorly as much as I think they just played a better team. I won’t say theBucs are destined to hoist the Lombardi trophy anytime soon (they aren’t Pewter Plank) but they are a better team then the Falcons are.

Ryanlooked human throwing 2 ints. And the D missed a big chance to make a stand late in the game to give the offense a chance to get 8 points that would have tied the game. There were issues making some tackles I noticed and I think that is the most unforgivable mistake a defense can make in the NFL, if you can’t tackle the guy they guy will not tackle himself…. unless that person is Edgerin James (suck it Cards)

There were however a few bright spots I wanted to take some time to mention: First of all I really like Laurent Robinson and I think he is going to be a great player. He looked explosive and I cannot wait to see how this offense uses him in the future. I will go out on a limb a little and say that he reminds me a bit of Larry Fitzgerald… a lot. I am a big fan of Curtis Lofton and this game showed me why, the guy is just so solid at the middle linebacker he is second on the team in tackles behind Milloy and he had 8 tackles on Sunday in TB 5 solo.

The offense needs to improve. I think they will get better but I like what Mike Smith is doing right now allowing Mike Mularkeyrun the offense they way he thinks is best. If is trust and faith in your staff that will allow this team to realize their potential and give the Falcons the ability to win games in the future.
