Baseball is back and everyone seems to be quite excited. What is even more exciting about baseball being back is that the NFL season is not far behind.

Speaking of the two sports, have you ever wondered what team in the NFL would compare the most to in the MLB. It’s fairly obvious you can compare the Atlanta Falcons to the Detroit Tigers and here is why:

Matt Ryan Is The Justin Verlander Of The Falcons

You cannot compare anyone on the Falcons and Tigers better then you can with Matt Ryan and Justin Verlander. Both are two of the most humble human beings that you’ll ever meet in this world, both are clearly the top players in their leagues and both often express their loyalty to their teams.

Verlander was actually recently awarded for those few characteristics by receiving a seven year, 180 million dollar extension from the Tigers. You can expect Ryan will not be far behind and will likely receive an extension, like Verlander, before the season opens up.

A lot Is Expected From The Tigers And Falcons

Going into each season, everyone projects the Tigers to win the World Series and the Falcons to win the Super Bowl. The same expectations go into this year, as both teams have re-equipped with more talent over the off-season.

Tigers And Falcons Made Similar Additions Over The Off-season

The Tigers and Falcons added a pair of future Hall Of Famer’s in Torii Hunter and Steven Jackson.  Both guys are very similar to each other because both are well-known names through out each of their leagues with their contributions on and off the field, both are considered to be leaders and both are looking for their first championships of their careers.

Tell us which MLB team you think compares the most to your favorite NFL team. Hope you all enjoy the opening week of baseball.
