5 Sleepers The Falcons Should Target In The Draft
By Ben Sullivan
3. Kadeem Edwards, OG, Tennessee State
Height: 6’4″
Weight: 309 lbs.
Projected Round: 6-7
With so many needs on the offensive line, the Falcons are going to need to hit on at least one late-round pick if they want to turn around the line right away.
Kadeem Edwards had an impressive senior bowl experience in front of the Falcons coaching staff, which should have him already on their radar. He has extremely long arms, the longest measured at the senior bowl, and long arms are the best weapon that NFL offensive lineman have against the onrushing defenders they’re charged with controlling.
A four-year starter at Tennessee State, Edwards has fallen down draft boards because he played for a small school and teams don’t like the way that he carries his weight. Seriously, his school was that small that I couldn’t find a picture I could use of him.
But, with the proper diet and workout routine he has the frame to be an every-week starter in the NFL.
