Round 3: S Terrence Brooks, Florida St.

Important Stat: Ran a 4.42 in the Combine’s 40 yard dash.

Thomas DeCoud was released last week, leaving a major hole in the secondary.  Dimitroff will need to address the need early, and who better than an aggressive safety who’s from a winning culture?

The 5’11”, 198 lbs Brooks is just slightly undersized for a NFL free safety, but his hops and bone-rattling hits will make you think twice about catching a pass in his presence.  Speed is also on his resume, with a 4.42 combine 40 time.

Trufant, Alfrod, Moore, and Brooks will solidify the secondary for years to come, and with Moore not scheduled to hit free agency until 2017, the unit could grow and develop for the next three seasons.
