Atlanta Falcons 2014 Mock Draft: Khalil Mack Falls To Six
By Jake Bennett
Round 3, Pick 68: OT Ja’Wuan James, Tennessee
Most Falcons fans see how bad the offensive line was last season, and instantly demand that we take a Tackle in the first or second round. With Holmes getting as much experience as he did last year, and Mike Johnson coming back, Dimitroff can afford to take a tackle in the 3rd round or later.
Ja’Wuan James, 6’6″ 311 lbs, is actually my favorite prospect to potentially suit up at Tackle for the Falcons next season. He displays the quickness to handle the most athletic of rushers, and is very valuable to the run game. In the SEC, James faced some of the best competition in the NCAA, and would bring that experience to a Falcons line that needed an overhaul this offseason.
If Atlanta could steal Ja’Wuan here in the 3rd, you will see a much improved line in 2014. Afterall, Baker, Blalock, Hawley, Asamoah, and James is a far better combination than Holmes, Blalock, Konz, Reynolds, and Trueblood.
