Round 4, Pick 103: TE C.J. Fiedorowicz, Iowa

With Gonzalez retiring, and Coffman going elsewhere, the Falcons must add a player at Tight End.  A prospect that the Falcons have been rumored to be interested in is Iowa product C.J. Fiedorowicz.

Fiedorowicz, 6’6″ 265 lbs, is no speedster, but could be a reliable target for Matt Ryan.  Like Gonzalez, Fiedorowicz can use his body to box out defenders and make the catch, and his 10″ hands seem to help with that.  However, unlike Gonzalez, C.J. is an excellent blocker who could actually make a difference.

While it would be nice to have a Graham-Gronkowski type Tight End, the Falcons could still find production in C.J.’s intermediate play style.  Alongside Toilolo (6’8″), the two could create huge mismatches for DBs across the NFL.
