Round 5: CB Craig Mager, Texas State

In the fifth-round, the Falcons could look to add another piece to their secondary with cornerback Craig Mager out of Texas State.

Mager impressed at the combine. His 4.44 second 40-yard was tied for fourth among cornerbacks; his 130-inch broad jump was tied for third.

He plays with a lot of heart and has an aggressive style. Mager is a strong player and a powerful tackler. Lance Zierlein of NFL.com likened him to Bené Benwikere. Zierlein added:

"“Productive, consistent four-year starter who plays with the aggressiveness and competitiveness that defensive coordinators will love. Mager has the twitch to close quickly on throws underneath and leaping ability to challenge jump balls. Teams question his ability to carry deep speed, which could impact his draft standing, but his talent and makeup give him a shot at becoming an NFL starter.”"
