Even when Steven Jackson was healthy, he was never regarded as even a top-10 running back in the NFL. The Atlanta Falcons simply haven’t had a dominant running game since Michael Turner.
Devonta Freeman has shown signs that he can be a starting running back someday, but the Falcons may want to go towards the draft.
Jay Ajayi may be the third piece to complete the puzzle. Ajayi is a player that the Falcons can swoop in the second round and many believe that he is the next Marchawn Lynch.
Jay Ajayi has some serious Beast Mode type plays this year (Both running and catching).. Not saying he's the next Lynch but makes ya thinkkk

But think of Ajayi as Le’veon Bell. Bell is arguably the best running back in the NFL today, and Ajayi shows a lot of traits that are similar.
- Extremely patient and disciplined behind the line of scrimmage
- Doesn’t just sprint into a hole, waits patiently and hits a hole when it’s there
- Can catch the ball out of the backfield
People look at Ajayi and think Marchawn Lynch. I see Le'veon Bell.

Extremely fundamental patience, break tackles, explosive, big, etc.
