Round 2: OT Donovan Smith, Penn State

B. The Buccaneers have their quarterback, now they want to protect him. This pick seems a little early, but OT Donovan Smith is a decent pick here. He is a huge man at 6’6″, 338 pounds but consistency has been his issue. With time to develop, he could become a solid starter for them, and he will need to be as they look to protect the face of their franchise.. OT. Penn State. DONOVAN SMITH

Round 2 (from Indianapolis): G Ali Marpet, Hobart & William Smith

G. Hobart & William Smith. ALI MARPET. B. The Buccaneers are committed to protecting Winston, and they traded back into the second round to pickup another offensive lineman here. Ali Marpet has the athleticism and size to transition to the NFL, but the concern is the level of competition he faced in college. It’s a bold move for the Bucs, but they could have found a starting guard long term here.
