Round 2 (from St. Louis): WR/TE Devin Funchess, Michigan

WR. Michigan. DEVIN FUNCHESS. B+. The Carolina Panthers have added another big, physical receiver to pair up with Kelvin Benjamin. Devin Funchess is a former tight end who made the transition to wide receiver. He could potentially play a hybrid role, but I would expect Funchess to line up outside. There are concerns with his hands, but he can become a solid starter for the Panthers. Quarterback Cam Newton has another big weapon, and the cornerbacks in the NFC South will have their hands full, especially in the red zone. A pass-catching group of Funchess, Benjamin and Greg Olsen along with the legs on Newton? Defensive coordinators won’t enjoy this.
