FB: Probably an obvious question to kick off, but what has been the Buccaneers’ best offseason move?

JU: It goes without saying the draft defined the Bucs’ franchise for many years to come. The Buccaneers drafting Jameis Winston instead of Marcus Mariota was a great move. The debate before the draft came down to experience, knowledge, and potential.

Most Bucs’ fans, as well as the staff, believe Winston is the right choice. He compliments both wide receivers Vincent Jackson and Mike Evans. Any NFL team and their fans wish they can have a big three tandem that would be fun to watch on Sunday.

FB: Absolutely agree. Flipping that over, what’s the worst move?

JU: The Buccaneers’ worst move this offseason was not being able to sign a free agent offensive lineman. The Bucs had many options in the free agency market to sign young, experienced, and healthy linemen. We posted a few days into the free agency market some signings the Bucs should have made, but there was no traction except for few players and their interest.

The Bucs did get a big time lineman in the 2nd round (34th overall) from Penn State, Donovan Smith, but unfortunately there are question marks surrounding him.
