It has been tough to tell who the actual five best offensive lineman are in five days of practice, but everyone is getting a fair chance. Jon Asamoah, the Falcons’ rock in 2014 at right guard missed the end of practice with an upset stomach. This allowed some shakeups to the offensive line. At one point the starting five was composed of, LT Jake Matthews, LG Chris Chester, C Mike Person, RG James Stone and rookie Jake Rodgers at RT.

Tackles, Ryan Schraeder and Tyler Polumbus are both battling injury while center Joe Hawley is still being worked back into the slowly. At this point the biggest battle for a starting job on the offensive line is for the left guard spot. Person has received first team reps at left guard throughout training camp, but Chester was given an opportunity on day five to show what he can do. Chester was believed to be the starter before training camp started.
