At the end of the day, this is what the Falcons’ backfield should look like. Rookie running back Terron Ward has come on strong in the past week after the injuries to Devonta Freeman and Tevin Coleman, but the odds that he makes it onto the 53-man roster aren’t very high. However, anything can happen during the preseason.

All three of these running backs will make the roster without a doubt. All three men bring a different set of skills to the table that will be very valuable to the Falcons in 2015. The main thing to watch for is how many reps Ward will get while Freeman and Coleman recover from hamstring injuries. At this point, it’s safe to say that Ward will lock up a practice squad spot at the very worst.
