Atlanta Falcons: Winners and losers from preseason win over Titans

Winners- Derek Akunne, OLB

The Atlanta Falcons have had a lot of success with undrafted linebackers. Both Paul Worrilow and Joplo Bartu went undrafted in 2013 and have both turned out to be very solid players in the past two years. Derrick Akunne could very well join that list when it is all said and done. Akunne led the Falcons with eight tackles on the night and continues to turn heads whether it be at practice or during this game.

Akunne’s main competition will be against Marquis Spruill who is coming off of a torn ACL as a rookie in 2014. After one game of play, Akunne has the edge over Spruill who managed just one tackle on the night.
