Losers-Terron Ward, RB
With Devonta Freeman and Tevin Coleman both out with hamstring injuries, Terron Ward got the starting job for the Atlanta Falcons in the first preseason game. After a week and a half of great practice, Ward was poised for a big game, but failed to do so. Ward carried the ball just three times for six yards with his longest carry coming on a three yard run.
Ward took a step in the wrong direction after his first NFL preseason game, but will have three more games to impress the Falcons’ coaching staff and prove that he deserves a roster post or practice squad spot.
