Drew Brees

Drew Brees is in a similar situation to Manning. Brees may have finished atop the passing yards rankings last season, but it was what he did in crunch time that was a big cause for concern.

Brees turned threw 17 interceptions and looked off in the backend of the year. After years of being considered an elite quarterback, in 2014 he was way off the standard set by Aaron Rodgers, Tom Brady and Andrew Luck.

Brees will once again be picked early in drafts, more on what he has done rather than what he can offer. It’s a safer bet to pickup a younger, talented passer like Matt Ryan or one with a ton of upside like Ryan Tannehill.

Like the Broncos, it’s also impossible we will see the Saints run the football more often than we’re accustomed to seeing. They re-signed Mark Ingram before adding C.J. Spiller in free agency, giving the feeling they are committed to running the football.

The Saints will live and die by Drew Brees this season, and your team will either sink or swim with him should you take the gamble.
