T.J. Yates’ stock is on the decline. It has been for quite some time and how has not only Sean Renfree on his heels, but free agent quarterback Rex Grossman on his tail. Yates was aquired by the Falcons in a trade that sent linebacker Akeem Dent to the Houston Texans in return for Yates, but has proven to be a terrible trade.

Yates won a playoff game while with the Texans, but seems to be more like a fluke than anything else. Yates seems timid with every throw he takes and continues to rack up interceptions while in the game for the Falcons. It is unclear at this time if Grossman will be signed, but if he does, you can almost instantly pencil in Grossman as the backup which would send both Yates and Renfree packing.
