Rex Grossman was added to the Atlanta Falcons roster just last week and is competing for the backup quarterback job along side T.J. Yates and Sean Renfree. Yates played the entire second half against the Miami Dolphins and didn’t do a great job of commanding the offense. He looked good at times, but extremely bad in others.

Grossman has a lot of experience as an NFL quarterback and is very familiar with Kyle Shanahan’s offense. Grossman not only has experience as a starter in the league, but has also played in a super bowl, something not even Matt Ryan has done.

He is 35 and won’t be around too much longer, but at the moment is better than both Yates and Renfree and will likely win the starting job with a good showing against the Baltimore Ravens.
