A season of change for the NFC South. None more notable than the addition of Jameis Winston for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who they will be hoping can march the team back to the playoffs in the coming years. How well he performs as a rookie will have major implications for each team in the division.

New Orleans and Atlanta are desperately trying to rebuild the NFL’s 31st- and 32nd-ranked defenses of last year. Injuries have plagued the Saints’ unit this preseason, while the Falcons too have suffered with the groin injury to Brooks Reed which will keep him out around six weeks.

The Panthers won the division at 7-8-1 a year ago but can’t rely on such poor play from their rivals this time around. Seven wins might not even get you second place this year. How they cope with the season-ending injury of Kelvin Benjamin will determine whether they can win a third straight NFC South crown.

With preseason in the books moving full steam ahead to Week 1 of the regular season, how does each team shape up?
