Are you ready? Football is back, and the Atlanta Falcons kick off their regular season with the Monday Night Football opener against the Philadelphia Eagles. Here at Blogging Dirty, we begin a brand new weekly feature, “Tale of the Tape”. We will compare the two rosters and see which team has the edge.
There’s been a lot of change in both Atlanta and Philadelphia this offseason. The Falcons have changed coaches; the Eagles have changed just about everything else. Among their personnel losses are Jeremy Maclin, Nick Foles and LeSean McCoy. But never fear, because head coach Chip Kelly has a plan, and he brought in Sam Bradford, DeMarco Murray and Byron Maxwell.
So let’s work our way through the roster and see what similarities these two teams have and what differences there are. One thing they do have in common is their desire to return to the playoffs after missing out in 2014. Let’s break down the rosters.
