New York Giants at Dallas Cowboys (-6)
Can the Cowboys run the ball sans DeMarco Murray? Good question. But even if they can’t, the Giants’ defense won’t have enough to stop Tony Romo and Dez Bryant in the air. Odell Beckham Jr. will put on an early season show, but Eli Manning will be put under pressure and forced into costly errors. Dallas starts much better than this time last year.
Pick: Dallas 38, New York 21
Minnesota Vikings (-2.5) at San Francisco 49ers
If any 49ers fans out there didn’t pay attention to the offseason, they will be forgiven if they think they are watching a preseason game. Sorry Niners fans, this is the real thing, and it’s not going to be a good start. Levi’s Stadium will host Super Bowl 50, but that’s the closest San Francisco is getting this season. Minnesota are a team to watch out for and could sneak into the playoffs. The Vikings kick off 2015 with a victory.
Pick: Minnesota 21, San Francisco 14
