Here we go again. Last week, I predicted each NFL opening weekend game and finished 10-6, which I think is a nice start. I was a little too optimistic for an Oakland upset and pleasantly surprised with my prediction for an Atlanta loss. Here’s hoping I can get more right than wrong in Week 2.

There are some ridiculously tough games to predict this week, no less than Seattle at Green Bay. I was right to pick against the Seahawks last week, but will they really go 0-2? All odds are taken from Oddsshark.

Atlanta Falcons at New York Giants (-1)

I will never doubt you again, Falcons. The Eagles game looked a more daunting challenge than this one, especially given how poor the Giants looked in Week 1. Despite playing on the road, the Falcons’ defense will do enough to contain Odell Beckham Jr. and company, and I’m not convinced an ailing New York defense has what it takes to stall Atlanta’s offense as regularly as Philadelphia did.

The Giants offense can be great, but they don’t have the balance the Falcons now have. I’m calling one of Eli Manning’s off days.

Pick: Atlanta 27, New York 17

Denver Broncos at Kansas City Chiefs (-3)

Peyton Manning didn’t show too many signs of encouragement against Baltimore, but the Denver defense was outstanding. Still, at home I expect the Chiefs to control the Broncos’ offense and find ways to score. Expect another strong game for Travis Kelce and a better game for Jamaal Charles, despite how tough it will be to run on the Broncos.

Pick: Kansas City 16, Denver 13
