Houston Texans at Carolina Panthers (-3)
Houston stunk the place out at home to Kansas City, and they will continue to struggle sans Arian Foster. The Panthers were by no means comfortable in their victory over the Jaguars, but I expect them to find a way to win at home.
Pick: Carolina 17, Houston 10
Arizona Cardinals at Chicago Bears (EVEN)
The Bears fought hard in a loss to the Packers, and we caught a glimpse of John Fox’s identity. Matt Forte will get a lot of touches again this week, but the Cardinals are too talented across the board. Their defense will do a better job than the Packers did, and they have enough on offense to take the victory.
Pick: Arizona 24, Chicago 19
San Diego Chargers at Cincinnati Bengals (-3)
San Diego did a great job of coming back against Detroit last week, but there were plenty of flaws on the team. Cincinnati took care of Oakland will expect more from Jeremy Hill on the ground from a yards point of view, despite him running in two scores. At home, the Bengals improve to 2-0.
Pick: Cincinnati 24, San Diego 17
Tennessee Titans at Cleveland Browns (EVEN)
Wow. That’s all we could say about Marcus Mariota as he picked apart the team than passed him up in the draft, throwing four touchdown passes without a pick. Against a quarterback-less Browns, I expect the rookie to lead his team to 2-0.
Pick: Tennessee 19, Cleveland 13
Detroit Lions at Minnesota Vikings (-2.5)
Last week, the Lions throw away a huge lead and the Vikings, well the less said about their performance the better. Mike Zimmer will get his unit to bounce back at home game, and it’s the fact this game is in Minnesota that tells me they find a way to win.
Pick: Minnesota 24, Detroit 23
Next: A big NFC South bout
