Mid-way through the game, Leonard Hankerson would have been one of the top five worst players for the game for the Atlanta Falcons, but by the end of the game was one of the unsung heroes. Hankerson had a couple of bad drops, one resulting in a failed third-down conversion, but finished with six catches, 77 yards and a big touchdown on third down.

Hankerson’s biggest play of the game came on a crucial third down at mid field in which Hankerson laid out for the ball and managed to get up and run for an extra seven yards due to a bonehead play from rookie safety Landon Collins. This set up the Falcons’ game winning touchdown just a few plays later to give Atlanta a 24-20 lead.

In a game in which Roddy White was non-existent, Hankerson made up for his drops and helped the Falcons to a big road victory over the New York Giants.
