What will be the key matchup in this game?

SM: I think it has to be Atlanta’s passing offense against the Dallas’ defense. I don’t expect this game to be won off of the arm of Brandon Weeden. The better plan for the Cowboys is to run the ball behind their offensive line and control the time of possession. I think this contest will be determined by how well Dallas’ defense plays against Falcons’ quarterback Matt Ryan and how much pressure they can put on him.

What should the Falcons be most concerned about in the game?

SM: It’s the underrated Cowboys defense. They are currently the third best defense in the NFL (net total yards) and no one is talking about them due to the injuries suffered by their offensive stars. In two games, the Dallas “D” has held their opponents to an average of 257.5 total offensive yards per contest.

They’ve allowed a league-low 106 rushing yards in that span. But that bodes well for Atlanta, as the Falcons have been one of the best passing offenses in the league so far this season. This should be an interesting matchup.
