The NFC South is quickly dividing into two halves. At the top, we have the Atlanta Falcons (3-0) and Carolina Panthers (3-0) battling it out for the division crown and a playoff berth, although right now both could make it. At the bottom, we have the struggling Tampa Bay Buccaneers (1-2) and New Orleans Saints (0-3).

On one side, it’s the battle for first place in the NFC South. On the other, it’s for the first overall pick. It’s early, but this is the way most expected and it’s the way it will continue to look for the rest of the season.

The Falcons and Panthers are tough to separate right now. One team has a depleted offense being carried by its quarterback, the other has a rebuilding defense who is turning it on in the fourth quarter. But where does each team stand? Here’s the latest NFC South power rankings.
