Many fans and media questioned the Falcons’ hire of Kyle Shanahan as the team’s offensive coordinator heading into 2015. Shanahan coached the Browns’ offense in 2014 and many thought he would not do well in Atlanta. Wrong. Shanahan has turned the Falcons into one of the deadliest offensive units in the NFL and has everyone clicking on all cylinders.

The Falcons’ offense is finally balanced. The ability to run the ball has opened up the Falcons’ passing game and has made the entire unit nearly impossible to stop. The Falcons’ offense has scored at least 24 points in all four games including 39 in week 3 and 48 this week.

The Falcons lead the NFL in scoring drives of 10 plays or more and will likely have many more in the coming weeks. Shanahan will likely get a head coaching job sooner than later, so the Falcons need to cherish every second they get with the master mind of Shanahan.
