5. What’s going on, Roddy?

So, Roddy White is apparently disappointed with his lack of targets in the passing game, and a quote of his has sent social media into meltdown.

"Falcons receiver Roddy White has expressed, "I'm not just out here f**king around just to sit around and f**king block people all day"."

According to Twitter, White is unhappy, happy and just wants to win, is being traded, is not being traded. The world just needs to calm down a little. First of all, a little context is required. White made it clear that it’s been frustrating not making many catches in recent weeks, but he’s committed to his team and just wants to contribute more in a push for a Super Bowl title.

"“I’ve contributed to offenses for this franchise for the last nine, 10 years. It always bothers me when I go out and don’t catch any balls in a game because it hasn’t happened in so long,” White told ESPN.com."

Why would White want out of Atlanta anyway? He’s spent his entire career with the team, and they are playing great football right now. At 4-0, the Falcons are looking good and heading in the right direction under Coach Quinn.

I’m almost certain we won’t be seeing White traded anytime soon. The 33-year-old just wants to be able to contribute to his team more, and that’s what you want from your players. Let’s just hope he makes some big plays against the Redskins and we can move on.
