In Week 1, it looked like classic Roddy White. In an impressive victory over Philadelphia, White hauled in four passes for 84 yards and served as a perfect complement to Julio Jones.
But that was as good as it got. In the five games since the opener, White has made just seven receptions for 54 yards, and he finally found the end zone in the loss to New Orleans last week. It’s been a tough spell for the veteran, who has been outplayed by free agent acquisition Leonard Hankerson for the most part.
Some have called for rookie Justin Hardy to make an appearance, and whether that comes true or not is yet to be seen. What’s certain is White needs to improve his production. He can still make big plays and he has strong chemistry with Matt Ryan, we just need to see it more often.
Next: Can he be the No. 2?
