At times, wide receiver Leonard Hankerson has looked every bit the player the Atlanta Falcons hoped he would be when they signed him in free agency. But at others, he’s got lost in the shuffle and not been able to help out on offense.

In Week 4 against the Texans, Hankerson hauled in six passes for 103 yards and a touchdown, his only 100-yard game for Atlanta. In contrast, he made just two catches for 16 yards in the season opener and one catch for 13 yards against Washington, although he was dealing with a ribs injury in that game.

He’s proven he can be the No. 2 target behind Julio Jones, but he needs to improve his consistency and catching. Too often he’s been unable to bring in the catch, and this can become a costly habit. The 26-year-old has made a positive impact, but consistency has been the issue.
