Detroit Lions at Kansas City Chiefs (-5) – London
This was meant to be an inter-conference battle between two playoff contending teams. Instead, the British fans get to see two awful teams with nothing to play for. There will be no Jamaal Charles for Kansas City (2-5) and Detroit (1-6) has no run game either.
Pick: Kansas City 24, Detroit 20
San Diego Chargers at Baltimore Ravens (-3)
It’s hard to get excited about either of these teams. San Diego (2-5) lost a couple of close ones before getting blown away by the Raiders, while Baltimore (1-6) has nothing outside of an overtime victory over the Michael Vick-led Steelers.
Pick: San Diego 30, Baltimore 28
Arizona Cardinals (-4.5) at Cleveland Browns
Arizona (5-2) has got things back on track in recent weeks, and Cleveland (2-5) has been unable to finish games. Even on the road, the Cardinals should have too much.
Pick: Arizona 24, Cleveland 12
Minnesota Vikings at Chicago Bears (EVEN)
Minnesota (4-2) keeps finding a way to get it done, and is now 2-0 inside the division with a sweep over the Lions. Chicago (2-4) looks improved this year, but the Vikings come away with the win on the road.
Pick: Minnesota 24, Chicago 21
Cincinnati Bengals at Pittsburgh Steelers (EVEN)
With a returning Ben Roethlisberger in a huge game with a pumped up Heinz Field, Pittsburgh (4-3) gives Cincinnati (6-0) its first loss of the season, fresh off the bye.
Pick: Pittsburgh 28, Cincinnati 24
Tennessee Titans at Houston Texans (NO LINE)
I feel sick.
Pick: Tennessee 14, Houston 10
New York Giants at New Orleans Saints (-3)
New Orleans (3-4) has life and is rolling. New York (4-3) on the other hand, has limped through the past couple of games. At home with a chance to get back to .500, the Saints dominate and pull it out.
Pick: New Orleans 32, New York 24
