The football season is heating up as we hit the midpoint. This week, the Atlanta Falcons (6-1) stay in the division with a home game with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2-4). How do the two teams stack up ahead of this game?
Atlanta has one of the league’s premier offenses. It is led by a top-tier quarterback in Matt Ryan, and features an elite receiver in Julio Jones and the NFL’s leading rusher Devonta Freeman. But the unit has been struggling of late, and is fresh off a game in Tennessee in which it managed to score just 10 points.

Meanwhile, the defense has been making strides. Dan Quinn has transformed the run defense into a strength, and the unit is currently No. 2 in that category. The pass defense is still a work in progress, and the Falcons have managed just eight sacks on the season, fewer than any other team. This game would be the perfect time to change that.
