Derek Carr is leading the Oakland Raiders’ march towards the playoffs after taking down a strong Jets team to win a second straight. Sitting at 4-3, the Raiders are very much in the hunt for a wild-card berth.

Carr was excellent against of the league’s top defenses, going 23-of-36 for 333 yards and four touchdowns. Latavius Murray had a day against a strong run-stopping unit, taking his 20 carries for 113 yards.

Whether Oakland has the consistency for the remainder of the season is another question, but right now it is coming off of two wins on the bounce and faces a key game on the road to Pittsburgh next week. A win would put them 5-3 with a tiebreaker over the Steelers, and that could be crucial down the stretch.

The Raiders haven’t played a playoff game since losing Super Bowl XXXVII in 2002. They also haven’t been 4-3 since 2011.
