Jacob Tamme has had a rather interesting 2015 season with the Atlanta Falcons, but right now it’s been great for the veteran tight end. Tamme went over the 100-yard mark in a game for the first time as a Falcon in week 8 vs the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in which he caught a season-high 10 passes and scored his first touchdown of the year.

Tamme is up to 32 receptions for 369 yards at the halfway point and is on pace for 738 yards which would be a career-high. In fact, Tamme is less than 200 yards away from breaking his career-high in yards for a season.

Tamme has given Matt Ryan and the offense a security blanket as of late which has helped the offense tremendously. The Falcons haven’t had a security blanket since Tony Gonzalez retired so it’s good to have a reliable tight end who can catch the ball when you need him too.

Great job Tamme!
