After carrying the ball 29 times in the Falcons’ first two games, Coleman has carried the ball just 12 times since for 68 yards.

The lack of playing time isn’t based on his potential, it’s based on how good Devonta Freeman has been in 2015. Heading into the 2015 NFL draft, the Falcons thought that they needed to draft a running back. Well, they were wrong. Freeman has been everything they could ask for which leaves Coleman with no void to fill.

Coleman will continue to get 3-5 carries per game and that’s just how it’s going to be! Nothing against Coleman, but with the way Freeman has played, there is absolutely no chance that Coleman will get substantial playing time.
