Pressure Blaine Gabbert

If the Falcons have a blatant weakness on their defense it is without question the pass rush. Trouble rushing the passer is nothing new in Atlanta, but the Falcons are coming off of a 2-sack performance against Winston and the Buccaneers. The Falcons will need to find a way to get to Blaine Gabbert and make him as uncomfortable as possible.

Gabbert has more career interceptions (24) than he has touchdowns (22) in his 27 career starts with the Jaguars. In those games, Jacksonville went 5-27 and Gabbert was quickly run out of the City.

A player that needs a statement game on the Falcons’ defense is rookie pass rusher Vic Beasley. Beasley has caught a lot of flack as of late for his lack of pressure and several penalties he has accumulated, so he is due to have a good game.

If the Falcons can pressure Gabbert, nothing but good things will come. This game could get really ugly, really fast.
