Last week was another embarrassing one for me, as I went 5-9 with my NFL picks. I’m getting fed up with these upsets and close games. Who honestly had Houston over Cincinnati and Detroit over Green Bay? It was also the close ones that cost me, wrongly picking New York over Buffalo and Seattle over Arizona.
Time to put to one side and move on with a better selection of picks this week. All lines are provided by OddsShark.
Indianapolis Colts at Atlanta Falcons (-7)
If Andrew Luck was playing in this game, I wouldn’t hesitate to pick the Colts (4-5). But with him out, I’m giving the edge to the Falcons (6-3), who should have figured some things out offensively during the bye week. I’m not overly confident with this pick, though.
Pick: Atlanta 21, Indianapolis 17
Tennessee Titans at Jacksonville Jaguars (-2.5)
With the Jacksonville (3-6) offense playing well, I expect them to overcome Tennessee (2-7) at home. The combination of Blake Bortles, Allen Robinson and Allen Hurns is difficult to stop when it gets rolling.
Pick: Jacksonville 24, Tennessee 20
