What to watch

Can the Falcons finally generate some pressure?

The Falcons have a league-low 10 sacks on the season, and Dan Quinn knows the key to improving the defense begins up front. Vic Beasley is expected to shift to the left side and will match up with opposing right tackles, while O’Brien Schofield will rush from the right up against the premier pass blocker.

This could be a successful move and could be the way to exploit the Colts’ offensive line.

Will the offense snap out of its funk?

We’ve been waiting for the Falcons to click back into gear on offense for a number of weeks now. The unit was sluggish in defeats to Tampa Bay and San Francisco and also in the 10-7 win over Tennessee. It’s time to start converting third downs and sustaining the successful, balanced drives we saw early in the season.

Has the bye week helped the Falcons?

After slumping to a one-point loss at Levi’s Stadium two weeks ago, the Falcons looked like a team in need of a bye. The week off has given Dan Quinn and his team a chance to regroup, self-evaluate and make the necessary corrections moving forward. Sunday, we’ll see if it has worked.
