Auburn has never been the same since Cam Newton left, but don’t let that take away from the fact that there have been some very impressive players suiting up at Jordan Hare. One of the upper echelon since Newton’s departure has to be Carl Lawson who anchors that Tigers’ defensive line, and he’s one of those players that every defensive coordinator has to plan around, and, for the Falcons, that’s exactly what they need to add.
Lawson is a very raw talent that must be refined in how he sheds blocks and stops the run, but it appears that the sky’s the limit for this kid and it makes him a must-get for the Falcons as I imagine he will fall into the third round.
If they’ll take a chance and nab Beasley as they did last year, then the Falcons need to follow the same thinking and take this guy who can spell Clayborn at times, if not take his place altogether.
