The Atlanta Falcons host the Minnesota Vikings in a battle of two NFC playoff contenders. We spoke with The Viking Age ahead of the game.

Can the Atlanta Falcons snap its three-game losing streak? To do so, it must find a way past the 7-3 Minnesota Vikings, which will be no easy task.

I spoke with Adam Carlson, editor of The Viking Age, which is our FanSided affiliate site that covers the Minnesota Vikings. It’s great to be able to get a Vikings perspective on Sunday’s game and the season up to this point.

Mike Zimmer has done an excellent job so far in Minnesota. How has he found such success in just his second year?

AC: He changed the defensive scheme, brought in some personnel to work it and preached fundamentals. Not enough emphasis is put onto playing textbook football, and Mike Zimmer is one of those coaches that vows doing the small things right will bring success to the team, and he accepts nothing less from his team. He’s really been a wonderful addition to the Minnesota Vikings.
