A streaming fantasy option: Jacob Tamme (5 catches, 69 receiving yards: 6.9 points)
Jacob Tamme continues to demonstrate that he remains an option in the passing game. The big tight end ended up getting a solid yardage total for a tight end.
Devonta Freeman’s eventual return will end up being both good and bad for Tamme. On one hand, the running back will re-assume his status as Matt Ryan’s number two target, and take away targets from Tamme, but on the hand he’ll set the Falcons up for more looks in the red zone, where the Kentucky product could end up being a factor.
Tamme has gotten a healthy 6-plus fantasy points in three of Atlanta’s previous four games. That may not sound like a lot, but for a thin position like tight end, it could suffice.
Analysis: If you’re really hurting for a tight end, then Jacob Tamme could be an option. You’ll have no need for him if you have a producer at the position such as Travis Kelce or Tyler Eifert, but he should at least be rostered in all league’s at this point.
