How about that? The Jacksonville Jaguars put up 51 points in an emphatic victory over the Indianapolis Colts. Believe it or not, the Jaguars are just a game behind the Colts and Texans for the division lead with three games to go.
Jacksonville takes on the Atlanta Falcons next week. The Falcons are without a win since Week 7. They then play the Saints, who are No. 32 in total defense. Then it’s the big one, a Week 17 showdown with the Texans. Who knows, maybe it’ll be for the AFC South crown.
To do so, the Jaguars will likely need to hope Andrew Luck doesn’t return any time soon. Matt Hasselbeck left the game with a ribs injury on Sunday, leaving the Colts with all sorts of problems at quarterback if neither player is able to return.
The Texans and Colts play each other this week, meaning a Jags win would pull them level with one of the two. If Jacksonville can win out, they will likely win the AFC South crown. But then, it’s the Jaguars. Can anybody really trust them to win their final three games? They will probably lose to the Falcons, who have lost six straight.
