1. The Atlanta Falcons must go down fighting

After losing seven of their past eight games, the Atlanta Falcons need to find a way to end the season with some pride. The playoffs are all but gone, but they must go down fighting. Dan Quinn will command that of his players, and rightfully so.

Draft position? Forget about that. Quinn wants to develop a winning culture in Atlanta, and that doesn’t start with a losing season.

What we have learned is the team that started 5-0 wasn’t a typical 5-0 team. It was a team that found a way to win close games. Maybe they rode their luck somewhat.

Whatever the case, it wasn’t sustainable, and the team is completely drained of confidence now. The display at Bank of America Stadium looked tired, lethargic and defeated.

That has to change. Draft position? Forget about that. Quinn wants to develop a winning culture in Atlanta, and that doesn’t start with a losing season. There isn’t really such thing as carrying momentum from season to season due to a nine month break between Week 17 and Week 1 of the new season. Each team undergoes a number of personnel and scheme changes during the offseason, too.

But if the Falcons can finish strong and put together an eight-win season, the fan base can enter the offseason knowing there is a lot of work still to be done, but the team has taken steps in the right direction in 2015.

Quinn must rally this team, pick them off the ground and finish the year strong.
