The Atlanta Falcons have had the league’s worst pass rush for two consecutive seasons and that’s putting it nicely. Atlanta finished dead last in sacks once again after managing just 19 sacks in 16 games. To put that number into perspective, the Denver Broncos nearly tripled the Falcons in sacks with 52.

The Falcons used their first round, eighth overall pick in the 2015 NFL draft on pass rusher Vic Beasley with the hopes that he would help spark a unit that has downright stunk it up. Sadly Beasley wasn’t quite able to do that.

Despite a few good plays here and there from Beasley, he finished with just four sacks.

The team is still in desperate need of a pass rusher to lineup opposite of Beasley moving forward. Beasley will be just fine and should give the Falcons solid numbers for years to come but none of that matters until they can fix the other side.
