Reggie Ragland: Atlanta Falcons draft profile
Realistic Expectations
While he may not be as good as C.J. Mosley is who started over Ragland at Alabama and is now the starting middle linebacker for the Baltimore Ravens, Ragland still has a very good upside.
Ragland was a 5-star recruit coming out of high school but isn’t quite a 5-star prospect heading into the NFL draft. It would be more fair to rate Ragland as a 4-star prospect with the potential of becoming a 5-star, all-pro caliber player in the NFL.
When a player such as Ragland is apart of a college football program such as Alabama they bring a certain set of characteristics with them that not a lot of players have. You can’t teach heart and you can’t teach a will to win. Not every NFL prospect will have the amount of wins that Ragland was apart of with the Crimson Tide and that is a huge plus.

Will Ragland be available when the Atlanta Falcons pick at 17 in the first round? He might not, but that doesn’t mean that the Falcons would consider trading up a handful of spots to draft a player of his ability. Will the Falcons move up in the draft? I highly doubt it due to the fact that Atlanta is already down two draft picks due to noise-gate but anything is possible knowing general manager Thomas Dimitroff.
Ragland isn’t the greatest inside linebacker to enter into the NFL draft in the past five years, but he is not far behind.
The Falcons would be thrilled to draft Ragland if given the opportunity.
