A lot of you may not be all too familiar with how good of a player Jeremy Cash is, so take notice. Cash won this year’s ACC defensive player of the year award after accounting for 101 tackles, 18 tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, eight quarterback pressures, four pass breakups, three forced fumbles while recovering one of them.

However, Cash underwent surgery at the end of the season to repair an injured wrist that he had been dealing with all season long and might not be ready in time to play in the Senior Bowl despite accepting an invitation.

The Falcons very well could cut William Moore in the coming weeks and if they do so, there will be a major hole to fill in the Falcons’ secondary. Cash is a big, strong safety, no pun intended, and is a very smart guy. He played at Duke for crying out loud.

I really hope this kid will be able to play in the game because he is going to be special and would make the Falcons’ secondary much better.
