Atlanta Falcons: updated first round options
5) Reggie Ragland, LB
If there’s one place in the 2016 NFL draft that the Atlanta Falcons’ fan base has talked the most about its Alabama linebacker Reggie Ragland. At least 75 percent of the fan base is hoping that the Falcons can draft the No.1 ranked middle linebacker but it’s looking more and more like that just isn’t going to happen.
With being the No.1 ranked player of your position there is a very good chance that your name get’s called somewhere in the top half of the draft. Unfortunately of the Falcons, they hold the No.17 overall pick and the chances of Ragland still being available at that time aren’t very good.
Not only will he likely be gone before the Falcons pick, some experts believe that Ragland isn’t the best fit in a Dan Quinn defense. There is no questioning Ragland’s talent, but he isn’t the best middle linebacker to come out of the draft in recent years. Only time will tell but at the moment he’s the least likely player on this list to get drafted by Atlanta.
