Valentines day is finally here and many of you are preparing to go out on the town to a nice dinner and have already bought your tickets to go see Deadpool but Atlanta Falcons’ running back Devonta Freeman has other plans.

Freeman tweeted Friday morning that he didn’t want candy or a date for Valentines day, he wanted Super Bowl 50. And for that, Freeman is moving on up as one of the most well-liked players on the Falcons and in the NFL.

There might not be a harder worker than Freeman on the Falcons. Nobody expected him to have the season that he did in 2015 and that’s what makes Freeman’s story great. He was just a kid from Miami who barely made it out and turned nothing into something.

At just 5-9, Freeman is one of the shortest running backs in the NFL but he makes up for it with his lion-hearted attitude and shifty footwork. Some have compared the back to the likes of Barry Sanders for his cutting abilities and elusiveness.

Freeman was the No. 1 running back vote getter for this years’ pro bowl and was tied for the most rushing touchdowns to go with his 1,000-yard rushing season. He was also a fantasy football stud and likely made a lot of people rich because of it.

Some people still doubt whether or not Freeman can sustain his workload year after year but don’t tell that to Freeman. In his eyes, anything is possible and he’s not going to let anyone or anything get in his way.

Freeman has given life to Atlanta going forward and it couldn’t go to a better person on and off of the football field. He deserves everything coming to him and will be a big part of the Falcons’ offense for years to come. Let’s hope we see No. 24 in the Falcons’ backfield for the next 10 years.
